Figure 1At long last we are seeing signs of impending death in some of the original parent leaves of our study, some six weeks later than when we observed the initial dying of parent leaves in Experiment 1. Figure 2 But whereas the first leaves to die in Experiment 1 were those in the low CO2 biospheres, the leaves that are dying in this study are those in the high CO2 biospheres (see the accompanying two figures).  We have no idea why the plants in the two experiments are behaving exactly opposite of each other in this regard; but that's what's happening, and we tell it like it is.
