At the start of this experiment, we had anticipated that a time would occur when the new vines and leaves would begin to extend themselves above the height of the single tier of florescent lights that illuminated them from the side.  We have thus used the remaining six 3-liter soda pop bottles to construct three two-bottle-high pedestals upon which we have set two additional 30-inch strip lights, as shown in Figure 1.  This tier of lights is located just in back of and above the original tier of lights.
