The second week of this experiment has seen continued rapid growth of primary roots, especially in Bottles 3 and 6 (see Figure 1).  And in half the time that it took to occur in Experiment 1 (where secondary root growth did not begin until Week 4), secondary root growth has begun in two of the six bottle biospheres: Bottle 2, with the lowest airspace CO2 concentration, and Bottle 6, with the highest (see Figure 2).  Vine growth also continued in all bottles, as shown in Figure 3.
