Figure 1Figure 2Primary root growth this week was particularly evident in Tank 5, while little change was noted in Tanks 1 and 2, as the long-term average airspace CO2 concentrations in both biospheres dropped below the 200 ppm mark (see Figure 1).  Each of these low-CO2 tanks also experienced the loss of a second parent leaf this week.

Figure 3Figure 4A new development was the commencement of secondary root growth in Tanks 3-6.  Figure 2 depicts this phenomenon in Tank 6 and additionally shows the continued development of the new vine shoot.  Figure 3 displays the first of these parameters as a function of biospheric airspace CO2 concentration, while Figure 4 displays the second.
