Question #2:
I am writing a report concerning the disposal of carbon dioxide, and I would appreciate it if you could send me some information about the control of carbon dioxide by disposing of the gas.  I would be grateful if you could also mention the advantages and drawbacks of the approaches.

Answer:
To remove or reduce the amount of CO2 in the air one has to either (1) decrease CO2 emissions to the air or (2) increase the rate of CO2 removal therefrom.  The first approach suggests we burn less fossil fuels, such as coal, oil and gas, by either reducing the activities that utilize them or by making the processes that they power more efficient.  The second approach could include the planting and preservation of trees.  Before one embarked upon any program to reduce the air's CO2 content, however, one would want to be sure that (1) such a goal was desirable and (2) the means proposed to obtain it were reasonable.  It is the purpose of our web site to present scientific findings that may help you to make such a determination.
