Description
Among other things, the authors derived a 1500-year history of Andean biome elevation changes from analyses of pollen identified in cores removed from the Piedras Blancas peat bog (847'N, 7050'W). This work revealed that from at least AD 500 to about AD 1000, temperatures were generally higher than they were during the late 20th century.
