Six Decades of Coral Reef Resilience on Jarvis Island, Central Pacific Ocean
(29 April 2020)
A historical bleaching reconstruction reveals a coral reef community that "has bleached frequently, and at times catastrophically, yet appears to have maintained a healthy state over time." This fact is incredibly important and speaks to the resilience of this community given that it was ranked among the healthiest of all ocean ecosystems, notwithstanding it has experienced repeated episodes of moderate to severe bleaching every five years...

Plant Growth Database (28 April 2020)
Our latest result of plant growth responses to atmospheric CO2 enrichment obtained from experiments described in the peer-reviewed scientific literature is for Soybean (Li et al., 2019). To access the entire database, click here.
Assessing the Relative Risk of Temperature-related Mortality in Kuwait (27 April 2020)
Climate alarmists assert that CO2-induced global warming will lead to an increase in the number of temperature-related deaths. Climate skeptics, on the other hand, posit that if the world does warm, fewer people overall will suffer such mortality-induced events because cold-related deaths typically vastly outweigh the number of heat-related deaths at locations all across the world. The results of the present study support the climate skeptic position...
CO2 Improvements in Maize Xylem Anatomy and Hydraulic Properties (24 April 2020)
The results of this study represent good news for regions that are prone to water deficit conditions. As the air's CO2 rises in the future, plants growing there will be better equipped to deal with that stress, which will translate into better plant growth and yields....

Plant Growth Database (23 April 2020)
Our latest result of plant growth responses to atmospheric CO2 enrichment obtained from experiments described in the peer-reviewed scientific literature is for Kentucky Bluegrass (Zhuang et al., 2019). To access the entire database, click here.
Petition for Summary Dismissal of Petition for Listing and Rule-making Under Section 112 of the Clean Air Act to Establish CO2 as Hazard Air Pollutant and to Set National Emission Standards for CO2 (22 April 2020)
Our newest petition was prepared by the Center’s Senior Fellows Fred Palmer and Frank Clemente and builds on the central theme that CO2 emissions and fossil fuel use enhance life and improve humanity’s standard of living. Their work includes a visual display of key metrics that detail the fundamental relationship between fossil fuel use (a proxy for CO2 emissions) and human progress. When joined with the scientific rebuttal presented in our first filing, this secondary work adds another nail in the coffin to EPA’s categorization of CO2 as a dangerous air pollutant and provides additional evidence that EPA’s 2009 Endangerment Finding is scientifically flawed.

Three Decades of Mangrove Forest Biomass Change in NSW, Australia
(22 April 2020)
The results of this study reveal incredible growth benefits reaped by two mangrove forest ecosystems during a time of rising atmospheric CO2 and rising temperature, which findings are pretty much the opposite of the doom and gloom predictions offered by climate alarmists...

Plant Growth Database (21 April 2020)
Our latest result of plant growth responses to atmospheric CO2 enrichment obtained from experiments described in the peer-reviewed scientific literature is for Garden Pea (Parvin et al., 2019). To access the entire database, click here.

The Combined Influence of CO2 and Temperature on St. John's Wort
(20 April 2020)
Individually and together these two feared parameters of the climate alarmist movement improved the growth and yield of this herbaceous perennial plant...
Ocean Acidification Impacts on Bacterial Biofilm Communities (17 April 2020)
At higher pCO2 levels the communities experienced greater diversity while maintaining functional stability...

Plant Growth Database (16 April 2020)
Our latest result of plant growth responses to atmospheric CO2 enrichment obtained from experiments described in the peer-reviewed scientific literature is for Tobacco (Singh et al., 2019). To access the entire database, click here.

Micronutrient Availability in a Rice Paddy Field Exposed to Elevated CO2
(15 April 2020)
The four Chinese researchers who conducted this study conclude that elevated CO2 enhanced dry matter production and accumulation of Fe, Mn, and Zn in rice after 10 years of CO2 treatment. Consequently, no management strategy was needed to supply these necessary micronutrients in order to achieve the CO2-induced dry matter enhancement...
FACE Technology Under-predicts the Future Response of Plants to Elevated CO2 (14 April 2020)
In light of the results presented in this new study, it is clear that FACE studies are not as realistic of future growing conditions as the IPCC and others make them out to be. They are much more conservative in projecting future biomass and yield responses of plants and crops, considering that a correction factor of about 1.5 must be applied to their findings. And that means that the likely impact of elevated CO2 (as determined via FACE studies) will be much greater than anticipated, which is good news for humanity and nature!...

Plant Growth Database (13 April 2020)
Our latest result of plant growth responses to atmospheric CO2 enrichment obtained from experiments described in the peer-reviewed scientific literature is for Wheat (Uddin et al., 2019). To access the entire database, click here.

Effects of CO2 and Precipitation Amount on a C3 Grass
(10 April 2020)
Elevated CO2 improved plant photosynthesis, growth and water use efficiency of an important grass consumed by domestic livestock in China...
