licensing and acknowledgement conditions 
set out in the TimeMap web site. A copy of 
the license is provided in the download package.
If you have trouble with this software, please 
contact Ian Johnson (johnson@acl.arts.usyd.edu.au) 
for immediate assistance. Any serious bugs are 
normally corrected within a day or so. 
Useful new features suggested by users are often 
added within a week.Also, please check back to 
the TimeMap web site regularly for updates, 
as new versions are typically loaded every few 
weeks.

Layout files
------------
There are two layouts:
1. default_layout.xml = The layout used 
if no custom layout is specified. Last updated 
10th Jan 2004
2. multimap_layout.xml = A layout 
designed to render two main maps, two key maps 
and four legends in a single applet. This layout 
is discussed in the TMJava user manual. Also check 
on the TimeMap web site for a page where you can 
download other layouts. Developed a good layout?
