Description
The authors conducted multiproxy geochemical analyses on a sediment core obtained from Farewell Lake (62.55°N, 153.63°W) in the northwestern foothills of the Alaska Range to produce a proxy record of surface water temperature over the past 2,000 years. The Medieval Warm Period occurred between AD 850 and 1200 and was of comparable warmth to the Current Warm Period.
